    CM's Potential Community Role

With the shift in focus with the new TaskGroup framework, it's obviously somewhat harder to fit CM as a team into the whole thing.

I just got an idea about how CM can continue to work (as before) behind the scenes and deliver 110% but still follow the guidelines of the TaskGroups.

We can data-mine the ideas popping up on the forums, and engage in picking apart and refining them here - CM style - and then delivering the glossy feedback in the forums.

     Thoughts?

Sounds good, but what happens when we try to refine an idea for someone that isn't in CM. Will they have temp access to our forums and give us input as we are fine tuning their concept and basically lend them our brainpool for usage or will the original concept's creator just hear our end results after we've spent a few hours brainstorming and then disect our proposal appart on into the parts he wants to keep and the parts he wants to discard?

The latter is what I was aiming for, given the current setup. The problem that I see with the first option is that CM would acquire an elitist image, like we're so cool so we'll let you come in here, post your ideas, and let us do the hard thinking. That's not the way to go... My thought was to do it without even informing the authors about it per se. We just find an idea to develop, discuss it here, and then simply post back the feedback. Don't know how effective that is, but judging from the way the Task Group Discussion sub-forum is shaping up, things will get hectic in there. In fact, I have a feeling it will revert to the same free-for-all that the other task discussion forums became, just with an added layer of (supposedly) collaborative quality control...

It looks like things are already becoming hectic in there. It's definitely become more active then the last task was, and the activity still seems to be growing.

In terms of activity I don't believe we are out of the woods tbh just yet.

In terms of our MILF my intention is to open it up to all of TS, but we have some hoops to jump through before that becomes a reality, even if its at all desirable to the rest of CM.
