You wha'? Wee bit drunk, a' we mate? :)
The way I see it, TS is moving forward on its own now. The momentum has been achieved. It may be slow, but it is there.
If it comes down to showing them who is best at this game, sure - we can "open up a can of whoop-ass". :)
I for one have an itch deep within (metaphorical, do not go there) to go way beyond TS very very soon, and CM seems like the perfect foundation.
One of the appealing messages behind TS was that talent would be noticed not just by Acclaim and DP, but by headhunters and other game companies. Maybe, maybe not. Is it really necessary to wait for that?
Physical location is not an issue. Timezones are not that inconvenient. Talent is limited for now (though many contacts have already been established), but that can easily be changed. Why not step up and just start an indie development company. Get a simple but fun game out - most likely casual - just to show that we mean business. And go from there. A more serious project can be already planned, designed, and pitched while the simple game is being worked on.
Thoughts? Feelings? I prefer feelings. :)
I love apples and fairy dust in the twilight of a nectar moon.
I disagree TS does not have any momo, and the progress that is achieved is questionable.
I expect the dev team when employed to rip TS to shreds creatively.
Well I have an epic, and I do mean epic, MMOG thats been kicking around for 10 years now.
But I think that maybe lightspeed before we can effectively crawl.
I don't mind throwing my lot in with a side project, but details and the devil are needful things.
Hell yeah!!! Why not. We could be the first global game dev company. My time might be semi limited here and there due to college, but I'm in.
